Snail Games announces the OBox micro console

You wait for ages for one micro console to pop up at CES and then another one appears right behind it. Snail is a growing brand in China, originally a game developer, with a Los Angeles office to start its western assault, and the Obox Android micro box that might make waves when released in the west.

Very much a work in progress, there are plans for 4K display output and 3D support, but for now it seems that a Tegra K1 1080p model will form the base unit with options for greater storage and output. Don't expect much on this until Autumn, but new players are always welcome. To be honest, it doesn't look that small either but any console with more flexibility in the options could be a bit of a game changer.
